nah most shonen have quite a lot of males that are similar to the mcs strength, in mha its bakugo with the uraraka nowher near deku, in naruto its sasuke with sakura nowhere near their strength, one piece has a lot of strong women, but none close to luffy in the main cast, the strongest 4 strawhats are all male, in bleach neither orihime nor rukia is nowhere near ichigo, fullmetal alchemist doesnt even have fighting females amongst its main characters
and those are only the examples from the top of my head

The fate series is another example of a show where the female MCs are very strong and arguably even stronger than the male mcs (Only talking about masters here, servants are a special case)

im not making it weird, it is a FACT that most battle shonen female MCs are wayy weaker to the main male one.
Leaving that damsel in distress shit aside and making them strong on their own is way better.
